OUR STORY

THE SPAY NEUTER PROJECT (SNP)
is a passion project of No Kill Columbia, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Founded in 2011, a group of passionate women joined the grassroots movement sweeping across the country to end kill shelters. Together, they founded the volunteer-driven, non-profit animal advocacy organization that is known today as The Spay Neuter Project. The impact of their work has been felt by communities throughout Missouri, but this work is impossible without your generosity. Please consider supporting our mission by donating today!

OUR IMPACT
In 2013, SNP's mission to make high-quality spay/neuter services and lifesaving vaccines affordable and accessible to all pet owners gained momentum after the clinic was accepted into the ASPCA Spay Neuter Alliance mentorship program. With the training, resources, and support of the Spay Neuter Alliance at our disposal, the Spay Neuter Project cemented our reputation as a vital part of the animal advocacy community, making it possible for rescue shelters, TNR groups, and countless other nonprofit organizations to access affordable, high-quality healthcare for all animals, friendly or feral.
SNP's dedication to eliminating the financial barriers to accessing quality care for animals, has made it possible for pet owners and animal advocacy groups in communities throughout Missouri and beyond to impact real change in their own neighborhoods. Not only does the clinic's success rate reduce the unplanned and homeless pet populations, The Spay Neuter Project also makes it possible for families, regardless of income level, to give their furriest family members the priceless gift of long, happy, healthy lives surrounded by those who love them most.
The Spay Neuter Project is led by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to the beliefs upon which the clinic was founded, a passionate administrative team determined to secure the funding necessary to provide quality care for as many animals as possible, and a knowledgeable and compassionate vet med care team led by skilled, licensed/certified veterinary professionals who specialize in high-quality, high-volume spay-neuter surgery. While our skillsets are as varied as the patients we serve, our dedication to the mission we serve is shared by all!

We will be forever grateful to our supportive community who helped raise funds to open the clinic, to ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance and Mentorship program for their guidance and expertise in operating a high-quality, high-volume clinic, and to PetSmart Charities® for the generous equipment grant.
Together we are making a difference for pets and those who love them!
