About The Spay Neuter Project
The Spay Neuter Project (SNP) is a project of No Kill Columbia, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our vision for Columbia and Mid Missouri is to be a "No-Kill" region - where our pets are not killed simply because they are homeless. In order to decrease the deaths, we must decrease the births.
The mission of the Spay Neuter Project is for all pets in Mid Missouri to have high- quality and affordable, readily available spay/neuter services. SNP is a high-quality, high-volume, low-cost, spay and neuter clinic serving Columbia and Mid Missouri communites to decrease the number of unwanted and homeless pets. Our affordable spay/neuter services and walk-in vaccine clinics help families keep their pets happy and healthy while reducing the pet population.
The SNP is staffed by licensed, trained veterinarians and veterinary technicians and assistants. The Spay Neuter Project adheres to the standards for spay/neuter medical care guidelines developed by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians' Veterinary Task Force to Advance Spay/Neuter (VTFASN). Those guidelines were published in JAVMA in July 2008 and can be downloaded here.
