Which option is right for you?
In order to determine what type of appointment is appropriate for your situation, start by answering the following questions:
1
Do you consider yourself to be the owner of this animal?
BASE PRICES ARE SHOWN - ADDITIONAL FEES INCURRED FOR ADD-ON SERVICES
-
If you consider yourself this animal's owner and they're your pet, proceed to the appropriate "owned" section below.
-
If you do not consider yourself to be the animal's owner, and they are a stray, feral, or community animal that you are trying to help, look for "unowned" below.
2
Owned Cats
BASE FEE - $70 Spay/Neuter Surgery
-
Owned cats should be brought to the clinic in individual, plastic, cat carriers intended for the purpose of transporting small pets. If more than one cat is in a single carrier, you may be asked to reschedule or incur additional fees.
-
"Owned" cats should be accustomed to human interaction and able to be safely transferred from their plastic carrier to a kennel where they will stay prior to surgery and during recovery afterward.
-
Owned cats behaving fractiously, exhibiting a high-level of aggression, or that cannot be safely handled by clinic staff, will be declined for treatment. Clinic staff will work with you to reschedule your appointment with accommodations.
2
Owned Dogs
BASE FEE - $90 Neuter $110 Spay
-
Owned dogs must be leashed prior to entering the clinic.
-
Dogs over 80 lbs. require additional medications and monitoring equipment that we are not able to provide, therefore they will not be eligible for surgery in our clinic. However, we will be happy to help you locate a full-service veterinary provider if necessary.
-
Owned dogs with a history of aggression must be muzzled. Animals exhibiting a high-level of aggression, that cannot be safely handled by clinic staff, will be declined for treatment. Clinic staff will work with you to reschedule your appointment with accommodations.
3
Unowned Cats
BASE FEE - $40 INCLUDES RABIES & FVRCP VACCINES WHEN AVAILABLE
-
Unowned cats must arrive in an appropriately sized, covered, live animal trap. See examples.
-
Unowned, outdoor cats - whether community, feral, or barn cat - will be ear-tipped at the time of surgery.
-
This small notch in the tip of their ear indicates that the animal has already been spayed or neutered. It is a relatively painless procedure that occurs while they're under anesthesia and heals very quickly.

Scheduling online using our online is the fastest way to secure your appointment. Follow the “Request Appointment” prompts in the online scheduling form below. If there is no availability for the date selected, it means that all available appointments for that species, sex, and weight have already been filled. If there is nothing available based on your pet's information, this is not an error. It means our schedule is at capacity for the calendar dates currently available. Decisions about calendar dates and surgery numbers are based on many factors including clinic staffing and supplies, kennel space, and seasonal demand, so check back often, as these change often.
03
Avoid making more than one request for an appointment. Our call volume is incredibly high and most of our scheduling staff's time is spent responding to voicemails. These calls are returned in the order they are received. If you leave a voicemail, there is no need to leave another. This increases the delay in responding, as we have no way to weed out duplicate requests. It can be very time consuming and frustrating for both you and our staff when an individual receives a callback for more than one message. Duplicate messages also increase the time staff spends listening to voicemails rather than returning calls.

At this time, we do not have a waitlist. To stay up to date on our availability and all other exciting things happening at Spay Neuter Project, visit our website and follow us on social media.

Email a member of our scheduling team. Be sure to include your name, phone number, and email, and tell us about your pet (gender, species, age, weight, breed, etc.). It is also helpful if you include any appointment preferences (day of the week) you may have, the type of appointment needed (wellness, spay, or neuter), and your preferred contact method (email, phone call, text, etc.).
